Established in 1954 by J. Allyn Taylor, London Community Foundation is a public foundation where people and families establish charitable funds. The Foundation is dedicated to improving communities across London and Middlesex County through collaboration, strategic leadership, and innovative solutions to charitable giving. By investing gifts in perpetuity, the Foundation ensures the long-term vitality of our community.
Belonging to a network of over 200 Community Foundations across Canada, and over 1800 community foundations around the world, our movement works to make an impact – locally, nationally and globally.
What do we do?
When you establish a fund with London Community Foundation, your money is invested and held forever in an endowment. This means that your initial gift remains untouched, but the interest and investment returns generated by your gift are available year after year for you and your family to donate to organizations, projects, or initiatives of your choice.
In addition to assisting you with your philanthropy, our knowledgeable staff can provide advice on our community’s most pressing needs, keeping your interests at heart and helping you give back in a way that is meaningful for you. Our network of foundations and charities allows us to facilitate personalized giving, and our board and grants committee ensure funds entrusted to us are being granted strategically.
