Funding Needs Registry


What Is It?

London Community Foundation’s Funding Needs Registry is a portal to connect our donors and fundholders with information about funding needs in London & Middlesex County in Ontario, Canada.

We are now able to publicize the Registry on our website which will encourage the increased profile of our catchment area’s charitable sector and its current needs. By accessing the Registry, our fundholders and donors can learn more about the needs in our community and search for the causes they’d like to learn more about and potentially support with a donation or grant.

Please note: there is no guarantee of funding when you submit an application. The Registry functions as a collection of current community needs, that builds awareness and fosters consideration of how those needs could be supported.

As a community foundation, we manage an endowment established with donations from people and families in the London and Middlesex community. A portion of the endowment’s earnings are granted to eligible organizations. Some grants are directed by our donors with whom we share the funding needs submitted to the Registry according to their charitable interests. The donor decides the funding need(s) they want to support and we process each grant.

To help you optimize your opportunity for support through London Community Foundation, you can let us know who you are, what you need, why you need it and what positive changes will occur.

How to Submit Funding Needs?

There is a new registry portal.

  • This is a new portal the Foundation began using for its other programs in late 2023.

  • If you have not logged in previously, you will need to create a new account.  Please follow the instructions on the right of the screen.

The Registry submission can be accessed by clicking the APPLY button on the top left of your screen. 

  • 3 submissions can be made per organization. 

  • Upon a satisfactory review of each submission, the Foundation will publish the first 3 submitted by each organization. 

  • Going forward, if you would like to replace a submission, please create a new one and email grants@lcf.on.ca stating which submission you would like taken down from the registry.

Proof-read your submission as the information you submit will be public facing.  It is recommended that it be copy-edited to ensure clarity of content and for correct spelling/grammar.

Is there a deadline?

No, we accept submissions year-round. However, the majority of funding support for Funding Needs Registry submissions comes from fundholders whose granting activity is busiest between May and December. Also, your funding need remains in our registry and will be removed under the following conditions: you let us know the need no longer exists - we will archive that submission; your funding need is granted completely from LCF funds.
