Nominations open January 7, 2025 to March 25, 2025

The J. Allyn Taylor Community Service Award is presented to a student who exhibits outstanding service to and is actively involved in leadership activities in their community.

Applicants must be a student attending a school located in London or Middlesex County, ON within a publicly funded school board. The selected student and all those who applied will be notified of the award decision by the end of June.

The award recipient will receive a card accompanied by a $3,000 award to be distributed as follows:

  • $500 to the recipient's charity of choice; and

  • $2,500 to a Canadian post-secondary institution for the recipient's education.

Cal Stiller, J. Allyn Taylor, and Bob Siskind

J. Allyn Taylor was a former President of Canada Trust and an extraordinary community leader. 

 Affectionately dubbed “Mr. London,” he was instrumental in revitalizing London Community Foundation in 1979 and continued to serve the community as Honorary Chair of the Foundation’s Board until his passing in 2006.
